Henri Matisse
Henri Matisse is often regarded as the most important French painter of the 20th century. He pursued the expressiveness of colour throughout his career. In his later work he abandoned three-dimensional effects in favour of dramatically simplified areas of pure colour, flat shape, and strong pattern. This bollard can be found hanging around the Eclipse pub having been painted by Prof. Iterol our highly tallented contemporary jeweller Lindsey Mann. She is normally creating lively, colourful and playful kinetic jewellery inspired by old tin toys, games and general gadgetry. |
